Andy Relf Company Director

Author of the Event Safety Guidance 2005 – published by the National Crowd and Event Safety Working Group, Andy has been a member of the working group for twenty years working with the Home Office, Health and Safety Executive, Department of Culture, Media and Sport, ACPO, Local Government Association and the Department of Transport.

As Advisor for UK Sport he works to protect the right of sporting and other events to take place and to enhance safety whilst supporting the responsibilities of organisers. He remains at the forefront of national developments in sport and event legislation and safety and has been engaged with the rules and technical committees of the governing bodies of sport to review and introduce rules and operating procedures compatible with legislation. His extensive knowledge of the industry is combined with practical experience of major events and the problems and pressures faced by organisers.

Ian Lole Technical Director

Previously employed as Participation Director for British Triathlon Ian left his position to take the lead on technical aspects of events organised by Trafeco, bringing years of knowledge and practical experience to the company. Ian has worked in the industry since 1987 with a detailed knowledge of local authority sports provision in the delivery of an extensive programme of activities.

Bob Bartlett

A specialist in route management and safety and a key member of the national sports motor cycle escort group Bob has a vast experience in the organisation and control of major events from his career in the Police Service. He was a member of the planning committee of the 1994 Tour de France and has been engaged as a sports consultant and organiser working on many major triathlons and smaller events ever since.

Chris Relf

Chris joins the company from his previous role as Housemaster in a private school, with special responsibility for sports supervision. He has a long history of working with Trafeco, acting as a Team Leader to provide practical safety measures on major events.


Traffic Management
Provided by Colin Welling-Bishton, a member of the Institute of Highways and Transportation and a member of the Institute of Civil Engineering Surveyors. He is qualified to lead our road safety team as a safety at roadworks trainer and has extensive commercial traffic experience as well as knowledge of traffic management at major sporting events.


Logistics and Security
Provided by Marcus DiVincento and his company MIG Security Ltd who specialise in corporate security, protection and high quality marshalling and logistics for all kinds of events.
